plywood to cut down on noise<br \/>\n&#8212; solid fit<br \/>\n&#8212; create a storage area below finished van for materials transport.<\/p>\n<p>I selected 3\/4&#8243; poplar plywood for the floor. \u00a0It&#8217;s about $40 a sheet, very solid, and has a clear, smooth, sanded finish. \u00a0The 12&#8242; x 8&#8242; sheets of plywood can be transported from the lumber yard back home without intruding on the finished space above the main floor.\u00a0 First a set of 4 1\/2&#8243; joists were bolted into the base floor, in a configuration to allow lots of space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/empowersites.com\/edsvan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P1080035-vi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-234\" src=\"http:\/\/empowersites.com\/edsvan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P1080035-vi.jpg\" alt=\"P1080035-vi\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/empowersites.com\/edsvan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P1080035-vi.jpg 800w, http:\/\/empowersites.com\/edsvan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P1080035-vi-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/empowersites.com\/edsvan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P1080035-vi-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The space where the blue blanket is will hold a few full sheets of plywood.\u00a0 The front storage is designed to hold two folding chairs for use outside the van.<\/p>\n<p>Here you can see the &#8220;basement&#8221;
